8am to 12pm: UMOM Block party
8am: 1K and 5K registration/check in opens
9am to 9:45am: 5k and 1K run/walks begin (staggered start times)

Our church is forming a team for the Hope in Motion 5K, benefiting UMOM, and our Missions Team is organizing our participation. Whether you’re a runner, a walker, or someone who prefers a strong start followed by conversation, you’re welcome to join us.

Be sure to join the First UMC Gilbert team if you plan to participate in the 5K run/walk or 1K walk. As this is a fundraiser for UMOM, there is a cost to participate – it includes a t-shirt! If you want to come for the block party during and after the walk/run events, there is no cost to take part in the fun!

This event is a meaningful way to support families experiencing homelessness while connecting with others from our church community. All ages and abilities are encouraged to participate.
