Joseph Ministry

A handyman service for members of the Church family who have difficulty with some of the basic responsibilities of maintaining a home due to problems or disabilities caused by age or illness and who don't have family nearby who can assist them.  It's also open to single parent families.

A small group of church members formed the Joseph Ministry. The group of volunteers has grown to 22 men and women who have completed more than 60 projects. Five members of the group participated in the Storm Recovery Mission Trip to Lake Charles, Louisiana in November, 2005.

The volunteers do not charge for their services but do request the recipients to cover the costs of parts and supplies that may be needed, if possible. However, some funds are available for parts and supplies for those unable to pay. A special account was created by the church for contributions designated specifically for this ministry. Expenditures from the account are approved by one of the ministers.

Requests for assistance from this ministry may be directed to the church office (480-892-9166). Since some people may be reluctant to ask for assistance, church members who serve in other areas of ministry and outreach may find opportunities to encourage members of the church family to use this service.
