you share your joys and ideas regarding our church.
Want to be an Acolyte? All
3rd - 6th graders are welcome to serve as an acolyte during the 8:15am
and 9:45am church services. Each acolyte will serve 2-5 times per
quarter, starting in October. No experience is necessary and training
is provided. You may sign up at the fall kickoff at the Worship table
or by calling the church office.
Final New Orleans Mission Trip A
substantial number of people who lost their homes in Hurricanes Katrina
and Rita still need help in rebuilding their homes. The chair of the
Missions Committee of one of the churches we have assisted on earlier
trips has requested a team to help families who have funds for materials
to rebuild but not enough funds for the labor. They need volunteers
who can help build the homes to the point where they can be occupied.
The finishing details can be added later. We are
exploring the possibility of sending a team to help with this effort.
This trip will conclude our church's efforts in helping with the
hurricane recovery. The trip will be scheduled mid-fall. A limited
amount of funds remain in a restricted account in our church budget to
help with the expenses. Individuals with construction skills and
experience are needed, but anyone willing to do physical labor is also
welcome to join the team. If you are interested in joining this missions effort, contact the church office.
